IIEMS Partners with Axiostat® to Strengthen Emergency Preparedness and Empower First Responders Across India

The Indian Institute of Emergency Medical Services (IIEMS) has announced a strategic partnership with Axiostat®, a leading innovator in advanced haemostatic solutions, to enhance emergency preparedness and empower first responders nationwide.

Through this collaboration, IIEMS and Axiostat® aim to:

1. Equip emergency personnel, schools, and workplaces with life-saving haemostatic kits featuring Axiostat®.
2. Provide hands-on STOP THE BLEED® training to equip individuals with the skills to control severe bleeding in critical moments.
3. Build a stronger, safer, and more responsive community through education, readiness, and collaboration.

As part of this initiative, India’s first customized “Stop the Bleed” course has been introduced for military and police personnel, focusing on wound packing techniques using Axiostat® Z-Fold gauze and the effective application of tactical tourniquets.

The program is led by Dr. George P Abraham, Chairman of IIEMS.
